The public relations campaigns carried out by the Mexico Tourism Board are a very important element in the creation of a favorable image and boosting the impact of the other promotional activities.

 

Public relations campaigns are used to take proactive measures in the specialized tourism media in the various outbound markets. The intention is to favor the publication of news articles and features that provide information on the wealth of options for tourism in each of the country?s destinations.

 

In general, the campaigns include attention to the needs of the specialized media, access to databases and image banks, familiarization visits to Mexican destinations, the generation of press bulletins and articles on tourist themes with a focus on high-potential segments and niches, as well as a program of response to contingencies.
